Reversi, played among the stars. If something is not working, or you just want to ask about the game, this page is the place to start.

I bought Supporter and the ads came back

Open Settings (the cog on the board) and tap Restore Purchases. This is the normal fix after reinstalling the app, changing phones, or restoring from a backup — the purchase lives on your Apple Account, not in the app, and restoring is how the app asks Apple about it.

You will not be charged again. If restoring does not bring it back, make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with, then email me.

What does Supporter actually do?

• Removes the ads. All of them, permanently.
• Adds 50% to every Stardust payout, forever — the same bonus watching a video gives, without ever watching one.

It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it is the only thing in the game that costs real money.

Can I buy Stardust?

No, and there is no plan to ever allow it. Every one of the forty-eight cosmetics in the game is earned by playing. Supporter buys quiet and a faster rate — it does not buy items, and it does not skip anything.

How do I earn Stardust?

By turning discs over — not by winning. Every disc you capture pays, so a long game that went the wrong way still earns something, and a harder opponent pays more for the same game. Winning adds a bonus on top.

I lost my Stardust, unlocks or achievements

Your progress is stored on the device itself, so it travels with an iCloud device backup but is not synced between devices, and it is deleted if you delete the app. There is no account and nothing is uploaded, which is the trade: no sign-up, no server, but also nothing for me to restore from.

Game Center achievements and leaderboard scores are the exception — those live with your Apple Account and come back on their own.

Something in the game is broken

Email me, and if you can, include:

• Which iPhone or iPad, and which version of iOS
• What you were doing right before it happened
• Whether it happens every time
• A screenshot or screen recording, if there is anything to see

Turning the music and sound off

Sound Effects and Ambient Music are separate switches in Settings, along with Haptics.

The game also respects your phone's silent switch, and it mixes rather than interrupts — if you are already listening to something, Cosmic Reversi plays alongside it instead of stopping it.

Does it need the internet?

No. The whole game plays offline, forever, with no account. A connection is only used to load an ad, to talk to Game Center, and to handle a purchase — and none of those stop you playing.
