This is the whole policy, in plain language. Cosmic Reversi is made by one person, it has no server, and it has no account to sign in to.
Cosmic Reversi does not collect, transmit or sell any personal information.
Your progress — your Stardust balance, which cosmetics you own, your win record, and which achievements you have earned — is stored only on your device, in the app's own storage. It is never uploaded to me, and I have no way to see it. It is included in an iCloud device backup if you make one, which is Apple's storage under your Apple Account rather than mine, and it is deleted when you delete the app.
There is no analytics in the app, no crash reporting of my own, no tracking, and no advertising identifier requested by the game.
The game shows ads through Google AdMob, unless you buy Supporter, which removes them permanently.
Ads are served non-personalised. The app explicitly requests non-personalised advertising on every single ad request, which means Google is told not to use your profile or interests to select the ad. This is also why the app never shows you the "Allow app to track your activity" prompt: it does not track you across apps or websites, and it does not ask for permission to.
Google's advertising SDK is a third party inside the app, and it does collect some data of its own in order to serve an ad at all, to cap how often you see the same one, and to detect fraud. Google declares the following:
| Data | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Device identifiers | Serving and measuring ads, frequency capping, fraud prevention |
| Coarse location | Region-appropriate ads and legal compliance. This is approximate — it is not your precise location, and the game never asks for location permission. |
| Advertising data | Which ads were requested, shown and interacted with |
| Product interaction | Whether an ad was tapped, closed or watched to the end |
| Crash, performance and other diagnostic data | Keeping the ad SDK itself working |
That data goes to Google, not to me. I see only aggregate earnings reports — totals and counts, with nothing identifying anybody in them. Google's handling of it is governed by their own policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Watching a video to increase a match reward is always your choice, never required, and nothing in the game is locked behind one. The same data described above applies while one is playing.
Supporter is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. Apple processes the payment; I never see your payment details, card number, address or name. The app only ever learns whether the purchase exists, so it knows to switch the ads off.
If you are signed in to Game Center, achievements and leaderboard scores are stored by Apple under your Apple Account. That is Apple's service, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy, and the game reads and writes only your own achievement progress and your longest winning streak. Game Center is optional — declining it costs you the achievement dashboard and the leaderboards, and nothing else.
Cosmic Reversi is rated 4+ and contains nothing unsuitable for children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age. Because ads are non-personalised and no tracking permission is requested, there is no interest profile being built from a child's play. If you would rather there were no ads at all, Supporter removes them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that affects what data leaves your device will be described here rather than quietly folded in.
